Dave is a highly committed, enthusiastic OSHA compliance safety professional with a high level of expertise in compliance regulations for the construction and well drilling industries. He has delivered hundreds of safety training classes and seminars on topics such as OSHA compliance, fall protection, trench safety, confined space entry, forklift operation, Safe-Lane/Safe-Gulf, hazard communication, HAZWOPER, OSHA record keeping and more.

Dave's passion is to educate employees on the "why" of safety, not just complying with OSHA requirements. If employees can fully embrace why safety is important to them and their family, compliance becomes a desire, not just a duty.

Dave spent 20 years in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1980 to 2000. His units included the CGC Polar Star, CGC Diligence, CGC Durable, Support Center Kodiak, MLC Pacific, Recruiting Office in Niles, Ill and the Pacific Strike Team in Novato, CA. The Coast Guard provided the beginning of his education in Occupational Safety and Health discipline while being trained as a welder, plumber, carpenter, pipe fitter ,firefighter and emergency response team member for oil and chemical spills both at sea and on shore. His specialties include: Employee Education, Worker's Compensation Management, Worksite Safety Oversight, Safe Operational Planning and Management, Safety Assessments, Safety Leadership, OSHA Compliance Safety Training both classroom and online, Incident Investigations, OSHA Citation Support, Hazard Assessment and Mitigation and Public Speaking.
